Mia Garcia-Cobarruvias is a film production student at Chapman University. She started making films at thirteen but has been telling stories her entire life. 

From documentaries to narratives, to experimental short films, Mia has told stories in various genres. While she’s done solo projects such as Before the Curtain Rises, Mia has also collaborated with multiple filmmakers such as in Rusty Wagon.  

Mia’s goal as a filmmaker is to allow for new perspectives to be told whether from someone else or from her own experience. Giving insight through subtle details is what made Mia fall in love with visual storytelling, but the stories that can be told are what made her want to continue.
